Why we do not publish a flat price
A dryer vent cleaning is not one job. A 6-foot wall vent in a ranch home and a 35-foot roof run in a two-story condo are completely different visits — different ladders, different time, different equipment. Any company advertising one flat price for both is either cutting corners on the hard ones or overcharging on the easy ones. Here is what actually determines your cost.
What moves the price
Vent length and route. Short, straight wall vents are the simplest clean. Long runs with multiple bends — especially vertical runs to roof caps — take more time and specialized tools.
Access. A laundry room on an outside wall is easy. A vent buried in an attic, a steep roof, or a condo closet with no clearance adds labor.
Blockage severity. A routine annual cleaning is quick. A vent packed solid with years of lint, or blocked by a bird nest, takes longer to clear safely.
Repairs needed. If we find crushed duct, disconnected joints, or unsafe materials, fixing them adds to the visit — but we quote every repair before doing it, and you approve it first.
What should be included
Any quote should cover the full line — dryer to outside cap — not just the first few feet. It should include clearing the outside cap, an airflow check, and showing you what was removed. If a quote is vague about scope, ask. A suspiciously cheap cleaning that skips half the vent is no bargain.
